It's time again for our monthly KORE Connections blog series, where we get to show off each individual who helps make KORE the incredible connectivity provider you know and love. At KORE, we take connections seriously, and we work daily to transform your business with our groundbreaking solutions. At the heart of this goal is a dedication and drive from our top leaders, including our very on CEO, Ronald Totton. Ron has brought great expertise to the KORE family, and we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on him.
In his free time, Ron is an avid golfer, hockey player, and a recently retired tennis and pickleball player (Can you tell he's competitive?). He was the first of his family to attend university, and he is a big believer in the importance of having a positive mindset and good attitude. He especially enjoys the satisfaction of overcoming adversity. Apart from his competitive side, Ron also loves to play cards and piano, read, and is even a solo bird watcher!
Q: Everyone has their own morning routine. It’s important for people to get their day going. What are the 3 most important parts to your morning routine?
Wake up and with my arms raised up, I thank God for another day (learned this from Satya Nadella). I dedicate 10 minutes to meditation, and then I make a list of things I am grateful for as well as 3 things I am excited about for the day.
Q: When you think of leadership, who has influenced you the most, and what does leadership mean to you?
Satya Nadella, Barack Obama, Scotty Bowman, and Oprah. Leadership is about learning and being open to learn a variety of different perspectives, being focused and 100% committed to goals, keeping things simple, setting a good example, and being persistent and gritty in the face of adversity.
Q: What is one of the coolest experiences you’ve crossed off of your bucket list?
Attending the Paris Olympics and track and field races – I always dreamed of it as a young boy.
Q: Where do you see yourself in twenty years?
I see myself having fun and chasing something meaningful and worthwhile!
Q: If you could offer one piece of life advice, what would it be?
Focus on your side of the street – own your circumstances, happiness, and what you have.
Q: What excites you most about being the CEO of KORE?
