In a world obsessed with connections, from fast streaming services, to building personal networks, to even connected cities and homes, it is the personal connections that matter the most – that is why we are proud to introduce KORE Connections. This forum is a Q&A series where our thought leaders and innovators can share their perspectives on life, innovations, and business which could help you in building your own connections.

J’Nan McManaman serves as Director of Channel Development for KORE. She started her career with KORE in 2019, supporting agents and expanding KORE’s indirect channel. Prior to KORE, she held several roles during her career with Verizon, CenturyLink, and Spectrum. She also spent time working as a subagent and master agent, which allows her to view the indirect channel from different perspectives.

Q: What are the 3 most important parts to your morning routine?
A: 1.) Heading to Starbucks for my grande almond milk latte, with 2 shots of toasted vanilla; 2.) While listening to classic rock in the car; and 3.) Making a to-do list for the day, which helps me prioritize and gives me a sense of accomplishment when I can mark things off!

Q: What’s one hobby you’d love to get into?
A: I would love to learn different languages! I enjoy learning about different cultures and their history, and I think it would be exciting to travel and communicate with people in their native languages.

Q: What’s a skill you’d like to improve on?
A: I sometimes struggle with self-confidence, as I am an over-thinker and my worst critic. Over the years, I have learned techniques for improving self-awareness, but this is a work in progress!

Q: How many different states have you lived in?
A: Although I was born and raised in Texas, I spent a year in Miami, Florida when I was a flight attendant.  So, I have officially lived in 2 states.

Q: What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute to your success, and why?
A: Integrity and dependability. I believe I have maintained lasting relationships with colleagues and customers because I am honest and follow through when I say I’m going to do something.
