Trending technology discussions are on the agenda at the RCR Wireless Telco Cloud and Edge Forum 2023 on March 28 and 29. This free virtual event is an opportunity to learn the latest and hear insights from top organizations on all things IoT, telecommunications, and computing. KORE will be on hand both days for panel discussions on 5G, as well as enterprise IoT applications.
The 5G era began when the 3GPP fully specified the cellular communication standard in 2019. It is important to distinguish the separate stages of 5G – Non-Standalone (NSA) and Standalone (SA). Because fully realized 5G is going to require infrastructure build, the initial rollouts of 5G have been built leveraging 4G LTE infrastructure, and this is 5G NSA.
5G SA will be its own network core, and this is where the full benefits of 5G throughput, latency, speed, and bandwidth will unfold. These capabilities will lend themselves to the powerful use cases of the future – including automation, artificial intelligence, and deep analytics. Currently, the shift to 5G SA is still on the horizon, but organizations and mobile network carriers are preparing for the true power of 5G.
KORE Vice President of High Bandwidth and Fixed Wireless Internet Jeff Noska will join a panel, “Morphing from Non-Standalone to Standalone 5G: Have We Arrived at the Promised Land?” on March 28 at 9:15 a.m. ET.
Success in IoT for providers comes from understanding exactly what challenges enterprises are trying to solve. In developing solutions, as well, it is logical to determine where to place investments in spectrums, cloud development, security, and much more.
In the panel, “In their Shoes: What Use Cases are Enterprises Trying to Solve,” KORE CIO Chris Francosky will discuss connectivity and cloud computing choices, network management, capital and operational expenses, and the use cases that can deliver high return on investment. The panel is March 29 at 10:35 a.m. ET. Registration is open for this free virtual event.
