IoT can do more than just simplify the way we work – it can also revolutionize the way we live. From enabling sustainability to inspiring future generations to explore technology, IoT has the potential to make a significant impact on our lives, our world, and our future.
KORE and SageGreenLife have partnered to bring IoT together with sustainability in one local school in the form of a living wall. Representatives from KORE and SageGreenLife will present the wall to the students of the NEW Academy of Science and Arts. By bringing a tangible example of how IoT powers green living, we hope to further cultivate the natural curiosity that children have for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).
New Economics for Women (NEW) is the founding nonprofit of NEW Academy of Science and Arts (NASA). NEW’s mission to build economic mobility, for women and their families through housing, education, wealth creation, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. NEW serves as a strategic partner with NASA, with NEW developing the school facilities and educating each student through NEW's Whole Family Transformation model leading to economic mobility. The school’s programming is also embedded and delivered through its affordable housing, primary healthcare, computer teach and supportive service offerings and is designed to empower families and cultivate economic mobility. NEW’s afterschool programs provide NASA students with numerous opportunities and experiences to develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and self-development skills, key capacities that are associated with success in personal and professional life and promote lifelong learning. In addition, NEW and NASA’s parents participate in “Padres Comprometidos” program. This program helps parents to understand the educational system so they can advocate for their child’s success.
